Dolce provides professional and beautiful music to suit you wedding or event. Primarily we perform as a string duo, but can also provide solo, trio or quartet ensembles.
Live music provides a personal and elegant touch to the wedding ceremony or reception. Dolce Ensembles are able to play in any location (including outdoors), creating a refined and beautiful atmosphere for your special day.
Music is generally played in the following parts of the ceremony:
- Pre-ceremony (providing entertainment and ambiance for the guests)
- Processional (the entry of the bridal party)
- Signing of the register
- Recessional (the exit of the bridal party)
- Post-ceremony (the exit of the guests)
We can also provide live background music for the reception, adding a stylish touch to pre-dinner drinks or during the meal.
Performing either classical or contemporary music (or a mixture of both), you can request any piece that you like. Our repertoire is extensive and can be found on our website. Please note that if a piece is not on our repertoire list we are happy to arrange it for you free of charge.
Dolce Ensembles was founded by violinist Kathryn Shinnick and cellist Sidney Harvey. Both are highly sought after soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians. Their musical experience is vast, from performing with symphony orchestras to playing with rock bands. They have performed internationally as part of various ensembles.
