Wedding Day Makeup: The Basics
Being the centre of attention for the entire day, your wedding day is perhaps the one day of your

My wedding day was beyond anything we had every dreamed of. From the moment Chris proposed we saved every cent we could to make our wedding day as fun, memorable, & beautiful as possible. We chose to get married in the city because the city is very special to us. We had already created so many memories here with our 1st kiss, many late night's dancing the night away, & Chris's proposal. Our ceremony was at the Chinese Gardens Darling Harbour & the reception was held in the Gold room at L'Aqua Darling Harbour. We had 86 family & friends attend our wedding. My dress was a stunning Maggie Sottero princess style dress & I wore blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. My Bridesmaids wore a little black dress. My husband & groomsman wore black & white. I wanted a classic colour scheme. By choosing black & white I knew it wouldn't date. Our reception was so much fun. The bridal party danced into the room to different songs. When we danced in we got all the guests onto the dance floor straight away. For entertainment we had a Elvis impersonater named Mark Borg who stole the show. Our guests young & old loved him. We also hired a photobooth. This was very popular with our guests and created great memories. My Husband DJ'd for a few songs while I danced by his side. My girlfriend sang, & we had the best, & most fun night of our lives at the most beautiful reception venue I have ever seen. Our wedding night was spent at the Park Hyatt Sydney WOW that has to be the best hotel in Sydney. We topped everything off with a beautiful 12 night honeymoon in Thailand. I love my husband & love being married.

Our wedding day was pretty close to perfect. I put a lot of effort into planning it and loved every minute of it. The only thing I was worried about in the lead up was the weather and we were lucky enough to have the clearest blue sky for the day. I was so calm the morning of the wedding but as soon as I arrived at the top of the path to the garden gazebo for the ceremony and then the nerves kicked in. There is no greater memory than locking eyes with my husband in that moment and seeing his massive smile. Our ceremony was perfect, with involvement from all our family members in some way or other. Our location photo shoot was a bit of fun, pretty much bush walking in heels. It gave us all a chance to laugh at ourselves trying not to fall over. Then our reception went without a hitch. The staff were exceptional and we had so many compliments on the wonderful food. Our guests all appeared to have a great time and enjoyed themselves very much. The night went so fast for Simon and I, but we both loved every second of it. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day.

Our day was a huge mix of tradition and our personalities. We had three attendants each. My colours were soft green and soft pink. The guys all had their own geeky cufflinks and wore Converse Chucks with their suits, and underneath my dress was a knee-hi pair of blue and black striped socks (my something blue) and a completely sequined pair of Converse Chucks. My girls wore heels to the ceremony, and for most of the photos, but I got them some Chucks too, as a present, so we have a couple of photos where the whole wedding party is wearing Chucks. We were married at the stunning Inglewood Estate, Kangaroo Ground. Us girls were half an hour late (due to someone following us to the venue getting lost), but we arrived in Hot Rods, so that made up for it. Our ceremony was preformed by Mark Stewart. We had a reading called "Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog", as hubby and I are both huge animal lovers, and did a ring warming, which so many of our guests found touching. At our reception we had a photobooth, which doubled as our guestbook when people glued their photos into a book and wrote a comment next to it. We had an attendant there the whole time to help them with it. Everyone had a great time in the booth and our guestbook is awesome. Our first dance was to Kate Miller-Hedike's Space They Cannot Touch. We're not the best dancers, but we giggled our way around the dance floor. Our garter toss included an epic lightsaber battle, which was absolutely hilarious. Truely the best day of my life. I want to do it again and again!

Our wedding day was perfect. I had a lovely relaxing morning getting ready with the girls and my Mum. At the church the emotions kicked in. The ceremony was beautiful. After we all went back into out limo off for photos, it was so fun! The reception followed which was great fun, speeches were all enjoyable. All in all we had a great day and so did all our guests. It was lovely the next day to recieve phone calls and messages thanking is for a lovely day!

More things went wrong then went right! But it was the most amazing, enjoyable, perfect day - the best day of my life. The flowers were wrong, both in type, colour and number; it rained so our outside ceremony was moved inside and all teh curls fell out my hair; my sisters dress didn't fit (she was the maid of honour); the celebrant got the music wrong... but once I saw Ryan at the end of the isle none of that mattered. It was so special to be surrounded by your friends and family.

We got married by the beach in Townsville, then afterwards at the Motor Boat and Yacht Club. I originally come from Melbourne, so I thought the water/sea vista would be lovely for Interstate guests. It was romantic, with the inclusion of an "Oathing Stone" ceremony, and "warming of the rings" where they are handed around for guests to bless and pass on their love. Everyone said it was the prettiest most fun wedding they had attended. We then flew out to Paris and The South of France for our Honeymoon
