I was so unbelievably calm the whole morning which totally amazed me because I’m normally such a stress head and know what I’m like under pressure. The whole morning I couldn’t believe it was happening – I was finally getting ready for our wedding! At Caversham House we made our way to the start of the aisle but once our processional song played the tears started. I said to my MOH “Quick tell me something funny!” So she turned around and jokingly said “You look like s**t!” I cracked up but it wasn’t enough to stop the tears for long. I don’t even remember walking down the aisle. It felt like it happened all too quickly. Once I reached Jeff I had tears just dripping down my face. When we were saying our vows to each other I could see him fighting back tears. We then exchanged rings and I couldn’t get Jeff’s over his knuckle. I even had 2 hands on it but nothing worked so I left it on his knuckle. It was hilarious! Before I knew it we were having our 1st kiss as husband and wife. I threw my arms around him and we had a big kiss. Once we arrived at Floreat Beach we had photos on the beach then headed upstairs to the surf club. Our reception was awesome and we had a blast. Everyone loved our cupcake tower, especially our cake topper, and everyone commented on how beautiful the ceremony was. DH and I are not dancers and wanted something fun for the bridal waltz so we did the Birdy Dance. Best choice we could have made! Eleven months of planning and stress for one day – but my god was it the best day of our lives so far!

My wedding day was beyond anything we had every dreamed of. From the moment Chris proposed we saved every cent we could to make our wedding day as fun, memorable, & beautiful as possible. We chose to get married in the city because the city is very special to us. We had already created so many memories here with our 1st kiss, many late night's dancing the night away, & Chris's proposal. Our ceremony was at the Chinese Gardens Darling Harbour & the reception was held in the Gold room at L'Aqua Darling Harbour. We had 86 family & friends attend our wedding. My dress was a stunning Maggie Sottero princess style dress & I wore blue Manolo Blahnik shoes. My Bridesmaids wore a little black dress. My husband & groomsman wore black & white. I wanted a classic colour scheme. By choosing black & white I knew it wouldn't date. Our reception was so much fun. The bridal party danced into the room to different songs. When we danced in we got all the guests onto the dance floor straight away. For entertainment we had a Elvis impersonater named Mark Borg who stole the show. Our guests young & old loved him. We also hired a photobooth. This was very popular with our guests and created great memories. My Husband DJ'd for a few songs while I danced by his side. My girlfriend sang, & we had the best, & most fun night of our lives at the most beautiful reception venue I have ever seen. Our wedding night was spent at the Park Hyatt Sydney WOW that has to be the best hotel in Sydney. We topped everything off with a beautiful 12 night honeymoon in Thailand. I love my husband & love being married.

Our wedding day was pretty close to perfect. I put a lot of effort into planning it and loved every minute of it. The only thing I was worried about in the lead up was the weather and we were lucky enough to have the clearest blue sky for the day. I was so calm the morning of the wedding but as soon as I arrived at the top of the path to the garden gazebo for the ceremony and then the nerves kicked in. There is no greater memory than locking eyes with my husband in that moment and seeing his massive smile. Our ceremony was perfect, with involvement from all our family members in some way or other. Our location photo shoot was a bit of fun, pretty much bush walking in heels. It gave us all a chance to laugh at ourselves trying not to fall over. Then our reception went without a hitch. The staff were exceptional and we had so many compliments on the wonderful food. Our guests all appeared to have a great time and enjoyed themselves very much. The night went so fast for Simon and I, but we both loved every second of it. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day.
