Rebecca & Nathan | Real Weddings Queensland
Wedding colours were red, white and black, this theme featured throughout (starting with the wedding invites a few months back, then on the wedding day with the flower colours, stationary and reception room décor. The first dance of the night was to one of the first songs Nathan sung and played on his guitar to Rebecca just before they were a couple (“Hero” – by Enrique Iglesias), and last song of the night was “Kissed by a Rose” by Seal, which was picked out as it would be lovely but also funny as Nathan’s surname is Rose – everyone had a good ol’ laugh to this, but all jumped onto the dance floor for a dance and sing. As soon as we got out of the front doors of the Church, we had the biggest smile on our faces – I was actually laughing. When you have wanted something for so long and then at the point when you have just gotten it, it is such an amazing feeling! All elements had personalised touches – from the centrepieces created by Rebecca and her family (submerged rose centrepieces) to the table name cards (Survivor – Reality TV program – theme named) down to the red beaded love heart on the side of the brides dress (made the Friday before the wedding to add a little ‘wow’ factor). Our cake topper was a clay figure replica of Nathan and Rebecca, as well as their little dog Louie. Funniest Moment was at the reception when my NZ family was the entertainment of the night. They were running around collecting the LED lights from the centrepieces, placed them into the bonbonniere bags and were throwing them around in the bags, placing the lights down their shirts, up their sleeves (to give them muscles)

We had such an amazing day with all our family and friends! At our ceremony my Irish nana and aunty read an Irish Wedding Blessing and Rob's Fijian dad and cousin read a Fijian blessing, it was such a lovely way to incorporate our heritages. We read vows that we had written for each other and were showered with rose petals as we walked back down the aisle as husband and wife. We danced all night at our reception and took photos in the photo booth we hired. When the night ended we didn't want to leave, we were having such a great time! It was such a special day.

Our day was everything we could of imagined and more! We got married at Brookleigh Estate in the Swan Valley in Western Australia. Our theme was flowers and my maid of honour and bridesmaids all made our bouquets, centrepieces and ceremony chair flowers the day before the wedding! Our ceremony was full of laughter and our whole day was relaxed and beautiful. we had a acoustic musician sing for the ceremony, i walked down the aisle to Somewhere over the Rainbow and our guests enjoyed his music for pre-dinner drinks and canapes!

Our day was magical the weather was raining before lunch then all of a sudden the sun was shinning. We got married in a beautiful garden in the Adelaide Hills and the reception was at my parents house set up lovely. There was nothing that went wrong we had a beautiful ceremony that included a candle ceremony then the ceremony was complete, had photo's and went back to the reception. At our reception we had 110 people and the theme was romantic with heart shaped bottle stoppers for the ladies and casino decks of cards for the males they we all rapt with these. We had a balloon ceremony at our recpetion where we both said a few words about the people that couldnt be there to help share in our special day and let the balloons go, then we wrote on one of the balloons our names the date and our phone number to be called once the balloon had landed. The whole was a dream come true enjoyed every minute of it the groom and groomsmen looked very nice and the bridesmaid looked stunning in their purple cocktail length dresses and i really loved my wedding dress aswell. I must say the whole day went way too fast but loved every minute of it.

As we have a love of travel we decided to get married overseas in Bali. Our wedding day was perfect! The only thing I was worried about in the lead up to the day was the weather and we were lucky enough to have the clearest blue sky for the day. The Rain man we hired really did work! Our ceremony was amazing, we wrote the whole ceremony ourselves, so it really meant a lot to us both. Our reception went off without a hitch. The staff were exceptional and we had so many compliments on the wonderful food and drinks. Our guests all appeared to have a great time and enjoyed themselves very much. As it was a very hot evening in Bali, the pool was very inviting with most of the wedding party and guests ending up in the pool! The night went so fast for Tye and I, but we both loved every second of it. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day.

the day was almost perfect with a few hicups along the way.I recieved my dress an hr before the wedding which didnt seem to bother me on the day I would have worn my froggy Pj's I was so excited to marry Matt. We were married at Illawarra Rhododendrn gardens. As we said our vows it started to rain, which I thought was kind of romantic and thnaks to pinkice photography they captured the most beautiful photos with the dark grey sky. The reception was so much fun we had Cartoon kingdom come out and draw Caricatures of all the guests, we used this as our bonboneires. We surprised our guests with our bridal waltz as we wern't the best of dancers we took dance lessons. The food and service was great at the Diamonds reception centre and the whole day went so quick so after our dance me and matt stood back and took a look at our wedding to remember what a great day it was. The whole day was filmed by capture you videography they were seriously a brides dream to deal with! Shane the video guy was soo much fun We cant wait to see our wedding DVD!

We wanted a really simple wedding that included our closest family and friends and was a reflection of us. We also didn't want to spend a lot of money as we were renovating our house at the time and could think of more important ways to spend the money. At the outset we both agreed that the main thing we didn't want was a sit down dinner. We really just wanted to do something different. We had already chosen our wedding venue (Preston Chapel) some time before, so it was a matter of making bookings and locking in a date. We ended up having a stand-up cocktail function at our favourite local cafe with about 60 guests, a live musician and I made my own cake! The wine and beer flowed and everyone danced and sang the whole night. The Chapel was gorgeous (as it always is), our photographer was amazing and my dress was just perfect. Oh and the new husband was quite alright too! No matter how much I wanted to keep it simple and not stress too much, there was still so much to do and organise. In the end however, everyone had a great night and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I wore my mum's veil and the gloves my Nonna wore 51 years ago at her wedding. We were married at Our Lady of Fatima Church at Kingsgrove. Some of my Year 4 students attended and blew bubbles at us outside the church once we were married. This was followed by photos at Carss Park and a reception at the newly renovated Garden's on Forest at Peakhurst. I made a lot of the parts of the wedding myself: the invitations, bonbonniere, unity candle, guest tree and church pew bows.

We were married in November 2010 in Woodend at the most amazing location - Campaspe House. It was a 3 day celebration that included just our immediate family. It was the perfect location that provided beautiful gardens - which were in full bloom - for the ceremony and photos as well as a first class restaurant and accommodation for all our guests. Best of all we had the whole place to ourselves. Being quite a stressful person I was suprised that the day was very relaxed, we all had breakfast and lunch togther, the kids played in the pool and all our guests relaxed with a few drinks before the ceremony. There were many times we forgot that we were there for a wedding, just relaxed and enjoying each others company. We had been very realistic that things may and probably will go wrong, but not even the weather forecast of storms could dampen our day - although I've never been more glad the weather man was wrong. The ceremony was emotional but with plenty of laughs. Our guests enjoyed some pre-reception drinks on the manor porch while Brodie and I had our photos taken around the grounds. We then dined in Campaspe House resturant, and the food was so delicous we are still raving about it. After dessert we moved to the lounges for some relaxing time with our family. Words really can't emphasise how our day was everything we had ever hope for and so much more... and most importantly perfect for us - exactly how every wedding should be!
