If love were a season, it would definitely be spring! It’s a time for rejuvenation, new energy and blossoming love. This spring’s forecast is looking bright with lots of bold and vibrant colours, textured fabrics and nostalgic patterns. Have a look at our list below of the hottest trends this spring!

Flowers:

Dresses on the runway for ’13 are all about the embellishment and this seasons favourite is without a doubt the flower. replace Big, small, coloured, they are all in! Who needs to carry a bouquet when you are covered in romantic blooms?

Beading:

A touch of beading adds a touch of glamour to any gown. Beaded necklines are in and so is colour!

Lace:

Vintage inspired lace is huge this year and adds a romantic textured element to any gown. Works for both a day garden and an evening wedding. Ask women in your family if they have any antique or vintage lace from their gowns you could incorporate into your dress.

Feathers:

Feather detail around the shoulder and neckline is huge this year (think Christina Hendricks at the Emmy’s) Don’t over do it and end up looking like an ostrich. Keep it simple and minimal.

Colour:

Muted pastel vintage inspired colours are whats hot this spring. Pinks, Greens, Blues and Violets.

Form:

Asymmetrical gowns and ruffles give this seasons dresses are on trend and allow brides to give traditional gowns a modern twist.

Light, breezy tea party inspired dresses in pale pinks, mint greens and lavenders.

Make Up:

Fresh faced, glowing features are this springs hottest trends. Incorporate some of your themes colours into your eyes and lips and keep the cheeks fresh with a hint of blush.

Hair:

Undone, beautiful waves and curls. Hairdos that look as close to natural as possible.

Shoes:

Something blue is making a huge splash this year with brides opting for a blue shoe that can be worn again!

Settings:

Spring is perfect for garden weddings and the trend is heading towards the ceremony and wedding reception being held outdoors. Simple, locally produced and sourced foods with an emphasis on quality. Decadent deserts topped with fresh fruits and berries and homemade sauces.
