Meet Holly & Simon
We met through friends back in 2002 and instantly hit it off. The conversation flowed so easily and soon after we started dating and have not looked back since.
The proposal
He took me on a picnic to a place we had frequently gone together right from the start. It was a little busy so we took a drive, planning to find a new location and in the process witnessed a man come off his motorbike. Simon was amazing in how he took control of the situation and the man was thankfully fine. We then went to a secluded garden spot where he got on one knee and popped out the most beautiful ring and asked me to be his wife.
Your Wedding Day
Our wedding day was pretty close to perfect. I put a lot of effort into planning it and loved every minute of it. The only thing I was worried about in the lead up was the weather and we were lucky enough to have the clearest blue sky for the day. I was so calm the morning of the wedding but as soon as I arrived at the top of the path to the garden gazebo for the ceremony and then the nerves kicked in. There is no greater memory than locking eyes with my husband in that moment and seeing his massive smile. Our ceremony was perfect, with involvement from all our family members in some way or other. Our location photo shoot was a bit of fun, pretty much bush walking in heels. It gave us all a chance to laugh at ourselves trying not to fall over. Then our reception went without a hitch. The staff were exceptional and we had so many compliments on the wonderful food. Our guests all appeared to have a great time and enjoyed themselves very much. The night went so fast for Simon and I, but we both loved every second of it. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day.
