Meet Amelia & Tobias

We met in high school! I sent him a text message on the night that we met saying that “I think we should be best friends forever”. It was corny, I know, but here we are..

The proposal

We were driving around Europe in a caravan (we lived in Spain for a few years) and when we got to my favourite country (Andorra) we drove up to a lake in the mountains. We walked up a mountain and stopped for a picnic. I was already sitting on the hill and he knelt in front of me, so our eyes were level..he said all the right things and I cried like never before!

Your Wedding Day

We came back from Spain to get married so our grandmothers could be there. We got married on a 12 acre country estate in Bowral, in the Southern Highlands.
150 of our closest family and friends were there for the ceremony and the reception which were both on the property.
I designed my own dress (a very pale blush pink with white french lace) and my maid of honour and I made all the flowers that cascaded down the skirt.
I presonalised every place card and had a table honouring the marriages that came before ours (our parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photographs were on display)
I recorded ‘Marry Me’ and it played as I walked down the aisle, surprising Tobias, who wasn’t expecting to hear my voice!
