I am a professional celebrant, who is friendly and obliging towards all people, using a sense of humour, personal attributes and skills to remove most of the stress from the ceremony. I have conducted over 3000 wedding ceremonies. I get great satisfaction when performing all the varied duties of an Authorized Celebrant and being able to liaise with all types of people.
Celebrancy is the best job I have ever had and, being 73 years young, life and ceremonies couldn’t be better. It is a great feeling being a part of one of the happiest days in the life of the bride and groom and their families.
I am not a serious type of person, but I do not tell jokes during a ceremony – I see the job of a celebrant is to conduct the wedding ceremony in a thoroughly happy and relaxed atmosphere, but at the same time with dignity and meaning. I strive to maintain a balance between the formal and personal aspects of the ceremony – basically I work for the bride and groom.
