We wanted our Wedding to be an initimate affair; casual and with a vintage feel. We themed our wedding around the 1930's glamour of train travel and used this throughout our ceremony and reception. Our ceremony took place at The Workshops Rail Museum, in front of the beautiful brown brick Powerhouse. We loved this building because of the old feel of it and wanted it to be the backdrop to our ceremony. I walked down the aisle with my father and my son to Pachabel's Canon in D Major. Michael and I wrote our own vows as we wanted to express to each other how much we meant to the other person. It was really touching. Our readings were an Apache Wedding Prayer, A reading by Walter Pinder, and Michael and I read "The Art of Marriage". Our reception was also held at The Workshops Rail Museum in the Refreshment Room. This meant that everyone could easily walk around the museum while we were having our photos taken and be served fingerfoods under the old tree that was on the ground. The Refreshment Room contained all the old turn of the century carved wooden tables and chairs that the museum had. It also had lots of pictures of trains so we thought that was a great way to incorporate our train aspect into our reception. We chose this room for the intimate feel and added to the elegance of our vintage theme. Our main colours were black and ivory for a vintage glamour feel. We also added a touch of red by using the old train lanterns on the tables as decorations. Our cake was a double stacked two tiered mud cake and our bridal waltz was to Billie Holiday's "I'll be seeing you"

A truly magical day. I stayed at my parent's house with the 2 bridesmaids the night before and in the morning we had champagne breakfast, then the hairdresser and makeup artist arrived, the morning went so fast and before I knew it we were leaving for the church! Arriving in the cars and seeing everyone there to see me was the most amazing feeling, walking down the aisle I was so calm and sooo excited I was saying hello to everyone, we had a harpist play during the ceremony which added to the romantic feel. The ceremony was beautiful and went for 20 mins! I had my niece and the groom's sister do a reading. After the ceremony we went for photos (which are amazing) to a junk yard, and on top of a hill, very different locations but brilliant. We returned to the reception about 6.20pm and were introduced to the room at about 6.40pm, the room looked magical with fairylights across the back of the bridal table and clustered into the centre of the room. I had silver chair covers and purple sashes to match the colour theme. The food was fantastic, and everyone had a brilliant time. The day went so quickly and I wish I could do it all again. We left at about midnight in a stretch limo to our accommodation. A few weeks later I did a trash the dress shoot, where you just get unique photos in water and sand that you wouldn't get on your wedding day!

Our wedding day really was the happiest day of our lives. Curtis started the day with his groomsmen at our house. I had stayed at my parents' house with my bridesmaids so we could get our hair and make up done. The morning went so quickly and I was extremely relaxed. However, the minute the limousine arrived, I started to feel very sick. I had to have an anti-nausea pill (which I later found out, Curtis had one as well). I felt like a celebrity when I stepped out of the limo, we had 2 photographers and 2 videographers throughout the day and it was a little daunting. Walking down the aisle was the highlight of my day. I FINALLY got to see Curtis after spending the night without him. We both relaxed the minute we saw each other. When we arrived at the reception, 'beautiful day' by U2 was playing. It was surreal seeing everything put together how we had planned. And it was a relief that we didn't have to set anything up ourselves (the venue did it all). Our first dance was to 'All my Life' by Kci and Jo Jo. Curtis and I sang the entire song in each other's ears. It was very romantic. We ended the night with a goodbye circle and Curtis' parents drove us to the Esplanade Hotel to spend our first night as Husband and Wife. It truly was the best day of our lives.

Our day was just 'perfect.' It was picture perfect weather and everything went smoothly. Our wedding day was everything I had pictured & more. There is nothing in the world thats better than marrying your one and only prince charming in your beautiful white gown and having all your family and friends there to witness. My favourite part of the day was having my dad walk me down the isle and seeing craigs face as I approached him. We were both so overwhelmed with emotion. Our wedding was planned around elegance, traditional white and romance. Our reception was like walking into a fairytale - it was everything I had pictured in my head. Our decorator did a beautiful job. Our flowers were absolutely gorgeous. I couldnt have asked for anything more. Spending the night celebrating as a 'newly married couple' with all our friends and family topped the whole day off perfectly!

We had a fantastic day. When we lived in Airlie Beach we fell in love with the chapel on Daydream Island so choosing a location wasn't difficult at all. The day before, the weather was windy and overcast and cold. The morning of the wedding, we opened our windows to a beautifully calm and sunny day. Because all our family and friends were all travelling to the island, we had a relatively small group of guests in attendance which was really nice and personal. We both got to catch up with everyone and just have a good time at the reception rather than being run off our feet "doing the rounds". Daydream Island staff were fantastic, everything fell into place for us and we both had a great time.

It took a year to plan and felt like it was over in a minute. It was the most perfect day of my life, nothing went wrong. I was told my husband to be was more nervous than me, I couldn't stop smiling. It was a 4 o'clock wedding at a golf course and hair (4 hours it took) and makeup were done first. Then the dress, photographer and car arrived a little early all was fine. Finally in car and on our way, half way there Dad tells me he bought his wrong speech I felt so sad for him as he had been practising for weeks, but I was about to be married and I would be in trouble if I was late. Walked down the red carpeted aisle to my husband to be and told him I loved him. During our ceremony the celebrant made a few hiccups but that didn't matter as I was about to become someone's wife. I said 'I Do' and he said the same then came the tedious part photos. The taking of photos took so long but I know that is pretty much the only way to really remember your special day. We made it back to the reception and was introduced as Husband and Wife that was a funny feeling. Then we started eating, drinking, dancing and speeches. Before I knew it I had to say goodbye to everyone but I so wasn't ready to go. Everything just happens so fast. We didn't have a honeymoon as we were in the middle of building our new home together and sort of had no funds left. We had a wonderful night in the Conrad Treasary Casino a gift from where we had our reception. It was magical.

Our Wedding Day 2nd December 2007 was perfect! Everything we both ever dreamed of. The only day it didn't rain in December! Church was beautifully decorated by some of the parents at the school I work at. The ceremony was flawless. From the church we headed into the city for photos. First stop Mrs Macquaries Chair. Next to QVB building. This was sereal. The Christmas Tree, stain glass window and surrounds were perfect for photos. Finally we headed to Park Hyatt surrounds for final photos. WHat a spectacular view. From here we walked to our reception. The Watersedge was the most amazing reception place one coul have ever dreamed of. It certainly did make our dreams into reality! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and wouldn't change a thing. Everything went to plan and no hicups on the day at all.

We wanted our Wedding to be a relaxed affair; casual and with a sense of humour. Our ceremony took place in the Sydney Botanic Gardens, under a beautiful Morton Bay Fig tree, at a little used spot, next to a carving called the Split Drum. On the walk there with my bridal party, my veil flew off in the wind. I knew Kain and I had promised each other not to let silly, little things spoil the day, so I flung the veil over my father's arm and happily continued on. I walked down the garden aisle to Jose Gonzalos' 'Heartbeat' (well known from the Sony Bravia bouncing ball ad). Our readings were song lyrics, which got a good giggle from the audience, and we included light-hearted moments in the ceremony. Our cocktail reception was held in The Rocks at The Argyle Function Centre. This meant that everyone could easily walk over, stopping for a drink on the way if they wished. The Reds Room is an old wool store, so it had beautiful floorboards, wooden beams and exposed brick. Our main colours were red, white and silver, for an old-school Hollywood feel. My cousin is a theatre designer, so she helped me source props from the Sydney Theatre Company to compliment the beautiful pieces from Decorative Events. We had plenty of live music thanks to my brother and uncle. Kain and I sang a song together and our talented friends performed a medley of dance faves. The iPod was loaded with tracks, so people could choose songs themselves. Our cake was a Krispy Kreme tower and our bridal waltz changed spontaneously to a mash between 'Lady What's Your Name' by John Swan and Kiss's 'I Was Made For Loving You'. All in all it was an awesome night!
